Term 2
During term 2 we are involved in a Heartstart initiative, which is co-ordinated by the British Heart Foundation. The children watch a DVDand learn how they can help in an emergency. Then they act out a senerio of what they would do in that situation.The children are learning how to deal with a conscious casualty and an unconscious casaulty. They can now put a casaulty in the recovery position!
We still have to learn about how to deal with serious bleeding, someone who is choking and a heart attack.
Term 1
This term our topic is "The Human Body". So far we have discovered that an adult has 206 bones in their body and a child has more! We cut out and assembled bones to make skeletons and we drew a mirror image of half of a skeleton. We have lots more to find out!
